Counter-Protest Coordination for Reproductive Rights
I successfully entered a group about this event & I was waiting for the to announce dates. They really have the audacity to say that abortion is worse than slavery. 💀 I think we can easily outnumber them. Mods if this isn’t allowed, please feel free to take it down, but if anyone’s free to protest, please message me so we can coordinate times to show up. Dress up! Bring a crowd! There is strength in numbers.
This protocol is a necessary step to protect patients, but it must be designed with input from the communities most affected, not just police and city hall.
Designated counter-protest zones and trained marshals reduce the risk of arrest and injury—Houston's chaos proves what happens without structure.
Portland's system cut intimidation incidents by half because it gave counter-protesters a legal, visible platform without blocking sidewalks or escalating fights.
Who monitors the volunteer marshals? What happens if a marshal escalates instead of de-escalates?
This unlocks a safer, more visible show of community support that actually deters harassment and protects clinic access.
The tension here is between spontaneous passion and safe structure—but both sides want to protect patients and free expression, so channeling that energy into a clear protocol can actually reduce conflict.
